Abby Ho is the Head of Wattpad Stars, the talent management division of Wattpad Studios. Wattpad is a social network and community connecting readers and writers, with over 60 million monthly active users. Abby is responsible for managing and developing the careers and projects of the top performing and most influential writers on and off the platform. Representing a roster of writers for publishing, tv, and film opportunities and partnerships with partners like UCP, Hachette, Harper Collins, Turner, and more. Prior to Wattpad, Abby was the Head of CBC’s Creator Network. Her team was responsible for developing and producing content with digital influencers across CBC’s media outlines and brands (Kids, Comedy, Arts, Lifestyle, Parents), and evolving the broadcaster’s branded and operated strategy on YouTube.
In her 3 years at the CBC, Abby was tasked with CBC’s partnership with top multichannel network Fullscreen and was the producer in charge of CBC’s digital comedy brand, Punchline and it’s digital originals (Riftworld, True Dating Stories, Newborn Moms) as well as the social content for all CBC broadcast comedies (Schitt’s Creek, 22 Minutes, Mr. D, JFL, etc.). Prior to her role at the CBC, Abby was the Director of Digital for Epitome Pictures Inc., the producers of Degrassi where she created the digital business unit and produced original online content for the series. Abby was named Playback’s 5 to Watch in 2014 and as Reelworld Film Festival’s “Trailblazer” in 2015.
